Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a licensed MRI technologist to join our radiology team. The role involves performing MR examinations, preparing patients, and delivering high-quality diagnostic images in a safe, organized environment.

You will work with Radiologists, maintain equipment and comply with safety and HIPAA standards. A current MRI certification and ARRT/ARMRIT credentials are required, with BLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited MRI program with current MRI certification.
• ARRT or ARMRIT certification is required; IV certificate preferred.
• BLS certification is preferred; 1–3 years’ experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing; advanced computer skills including EMR, RIS and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Performs MR examinations with understanding of positioning, protocols and equipment to produce optimum results.
• Assists in patient preparation and provides instructions to obtain desired results and reduce anxiety.
• Produces quality diagnostic images for interpretation; communicates with Radiologist and verifies orders.
• Maintains MRI room cleanliness and adheres to infection control standards; performs routine quality control.
• Prioritizes work, ensures safety of patients and staff, and verifies proper patient identification.
• Ensures equipment is in good condition by conducting routine checks and assisting in contrast administration.
