Job summary

Mental Health Association of Rochester seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to deliver outpatient imaging services with a patient-centered approach. You'll prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, and support radiologists and clinicians in diagnostic procedures while ensuring safety and comfortable patient interactions.

ARRT MR certification and state licensure are required, with six months to obtain MR registration after hire.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year MRI experience preferred.
  • ARRT MR certification/registration within six months of hire.
  • State licensure and compliance with life support training policies.
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI equipment and strong communication skills.

Job description

Role Overview

The MRI Technologist in outpatient imaging provides high-quality, compassionate imaging services within a patient-focused environment. Working alongside experienced radiologists and clinical teams, they assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures by preparing patients and operating MRI equipment to acquire accurate scans.

Responsibilities Include
  • Preparing patients and ensuring safety during MRI procedures
  • Operating MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic images
  • Assisting physicians in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Interpreting patient information to meet age-specific care requirements
Qualifications And Skills
  • Associate Degree or equivalent, with graduate of an ARRT-approved radiography or MRI program
  • Minimum one year of MRI experience preferred
  • Certification and registration by ARRT in MR (RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR)), within six months of hire
  • State licensure and compliance with life support training policies
  • Thorough knowledge of MRI equipment, analytical skills, and good communication abilities
