Job summary

Alpha Home Health and Hospice seeks an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will operate MRI equipment, position patients, and select imaging techniques to support radiologists.

The role prioritizes safety, accurate documentation, image labeling, and adherence to standards. A certified MRI technologist with ARRT or ARMRIT credentials and BLS/CPR is preferred; growth opportunities exist within an inclusive team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology or Allied Health Imaging program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography or MRI (or ARMRIT), with MRI certification within six months if not initially certified.
• State licensure in MRI as required by the state.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and position patients according to procedures.

Job description

The MRI Technologist is responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic imaging with accuracy and efficiency, operating MRI equipment, and positioning patients according to department procedures. Key duties include selecting optimal imaging techniques, processing images for radiologist review, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

They must accurately document patient information, label images, perform quality control, and adhere to safety standards, including medication reconciliation for IV contrast.

In addition, the role involves maintaining professional behavior, communicating effectively with patients and colleagues, and staying current with ongoing education.

Qualifications Include

• Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology or Allied Health Imaging program
