Qualifications

• Education: Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences; ARRT Certification in MRI.
• Licensure: ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license; enhanced NYS license for injection before end of introductory period.
• Experience: Preference for two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Completes all exam steps including documenting patient history, tech/contrast/IV info and filing paperwork.
• Follow MRI safety policies for staff and patients.
• Label syringes with date/time/contrast/initials and follow ISTAT handling policies.
• Set acquisition factors, evaluate images for quality, and follow physicians instructions.
• Manage stock levels and enter stock/pantry orders in the system.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Completes all steps involved with the exams including Documentation of Patient History, Tech Info, Contrast Info, and IV Injection info. And scanning paperwork packs into the system.
• Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients.
• Consistently follow patient identification policy: Labeling syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials. Follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (Per sites worked)
• Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians instructions.
• Assesses stock levels and enters stock/pantry orders in computer system.

Required Skills and Experience

• Education: Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program. ARRT Certification in MRI.
• Licensure: ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license. Also must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection, on or before completion of introductory period.
• Experience: Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
• Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand/sit for long periods while performing ultrasound studies. Ability to push ultrasound equipment throughout hospital for bedside testing.

Location and Travel Requirements

• Onsite at a medical center in Ithaca, NY.
• May be scheduled to support department and patient needs at nearby health centers.
• Shift: Full-time - Days/Evenings FLEX.
• 0%-5% Travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure

• Standard Rate of $36.00 to $54.00 per hour, plus benefits
• Shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends according to schedule
