Job summary

USA Staffing Network is seeking an MRI Technologist for an on-site, full-time position in Ithaca, NY. You will perform MRI exams, document patient history, ensure safety protocols, and coordinate with the radiology team.

The role requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Sciences, ARRT certification in MRI, NYS license, and may require an enhanced NYS license for injections. Two years of experience preferred, though new graduates are welcome. Competitive pay and excellent benefits are offered.

Responsibilities

• Completes all steps involved with MRI exams, including patient history documentation, tech info, contrast info, IV injection information, and scans paperwork.
• Follow MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients.
• Label and track syringes with date, time, contrast, and initials; adhere to ISTAT procedures as applicable.
• Set acquisition factors for optimal image quality and evaluate images per physician instructions.
• Assess stock levels and enter stock/pantry orders in the computer system.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Completes all steps involved with the exams including Documentation of Patient History, Tech Info, Contrast Info, and IV Injection info. And scanning paperwork packs into the system.
• Follow all MRI safety policies consistently for staff and patients.
• Consistently follow patient identification policy: Labeling syringes when loading with date, time, contrast, and initials. Follow all P+P regarding use of ISTAT (Per sites worked)
• Demonstrate knowledge of MR department procedures and protocols by setting acquisition factors for optimal image quality, evaluating images for quality, and accurately following physicians instructions.
• Assesses stock levels and enters stock/pantry orders in computer system.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Education: Minimum of Associates degree, Radiologic Sciences program. ARRT Certification in MRI.
• Licensure: ARRT credentials for Diagnostic Imaging and NYS license. Also must receive the enhanced NYS license for injection, on or before completion of introductory period.
• Experience: Preference of two years' experience, but new graduates welcomed.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Problem solving ability and attention to detail is preferred
• Good written and oral communication skills preferred.
• Requires ability to prioritize work, manage time wisely and adjust to changes in work volumes.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand/sit for long periods while performing ultrasound studies. Ability to push ultrasound equipment throughout hospital for bedside testing.

Location and Travel Requirements:

• Onsite at a medical center in Ithaca, NY.
• May be scheduled to support department and patient needs at nearby health centers.
• Shift: Full-time - Days/Evenings FLEX.
• 0%-5% Travel can be expected in this role

Pay Range Disclosure:

• Standard Rate of $36.00 to $54.00 per hour, plus benefits
• Shift differentials for evenings, nights and weekends according to schedule
