Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an MRI Technologist in Massachusetts to deliver high-quality imaging services in a fast-paced clinical setting. You will ensure patient safety, communicate exam details clearly, and position patients for accurate scans with attention to comfort and safety.

Required certifications include MRI/ARRT/CPR; ARMRIT accepted at some locations. Some sites may require on-call rotation and lifting up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• MRI scanning experience required.
• MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods.
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties.
• Some inpatient locations may require on-call rotation.
• Must be able to push/pull and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center's protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient's exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and/or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What You Will Do

What You Need

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee's to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
