Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Brookfield facility. The role ensures patient safety and high-quality MR studies on-site and/or remote, coordinating with radiologists and staff. You will train new technologists and assistants and perform additional duties as needed.

The position requires ARRT MR (or ARMRIT) certification, CPR, a valid license, and the ability to work at multiple locations. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ARRT (R) or ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT as allowable by contract.
• State license, if applicable.
• CPR Certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR enrolled >6 months in MRI training.
• MR registered technologist RT(MR) or ARMRIT: No experience required.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and perform high-quality MR studies.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images on MR systems.
• Operate multiple MR systems as required.
• Communicate effectively with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers.
• Train and orient new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants (on site and/or remote).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This will be a Full Time position.As an MRI Technologist, you are responsible for patient safety and the performance of high-quality MR studies, on site and/ or remote. Ensures effective communication with Radiologist, team members, patients, and customers for those who work in the mobile environment. When required, trains, and orients new technologists, Patient Coordinators and/or MR Technologist Assistants.Specific duties include, but are not limited to:Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique and may require remote MR Technologists Assistant oversite.Produces high quality diagnostic images.
