Primary Responsibilities:
Uses MRI scanner protocols based on needs of the individual patient and ordered examination
Screens patients prior to scan for any contraindications including implanted devices
Explains procedures and observes patients to ensure safety and comfort during scan
Starts IV's and administers contrast agents
Evaluates images for technical quality
Maintains the cleanliness of the scanner and associated equipment in accordance with the infection control policies and procedures
Responsible for MRI quality control, and documentation of necessary medical requirements

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
Completion of a course in imaging technology approved by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and board certified or board eligible in MRI (must obtain certification within one year of hire)
Active WA state license or pending application
Washington Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $40.00 to $60.00 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
