Boca Radiology Group is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to ensure high-quality imaging for diagnosis and treatment assessments. The successful candidate will work closely with a patient care team, maintain MRI equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards. A certification from the ARRT and at least one year of radiology experience are essential.

Reports to:Lead MRI Technologist
Job Summary:Under the direction of the Lead MRI Technologist, the MRI Technologist ensures physicians and other members of a patient care team receive high-quality images they can use to make diagnoses or assess the success of treatments.
Core Functions:
Interpreting the orders provided by the physician or other prescribing medical professional.
Reviews daily patient schedules.
Explains the procedure and process to the patients.
Positions patients properly to take the necessary images.
Administers IV’s that contain contrast dyes to enhance imaging.
Examining images to ensure they are accurate.
Updates patient medial information.
Clean and maintain MRI equipment.
Maintain inventory of MRI supplies and requesting supplies when needed.
Responsive to issues and concerns incurred within workflow management.
Interacts with technologists, nurse, administrative support, radiologists, management, and others throughout the course of the day to address and resolve the many different issues that impacts the provisions of services.
Works with Front Desk / Schedulers to keep the daily work flowing smoothly and prevent excessive waiting times for appropriate and in department waiting.
Maintains compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as safety and quality standards.
Job Requirements:
Strong understanding of MRI equipment.
Basic knowledge of anatomy, biology, chemistry, and how to administer IV’s.
Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with MRI equipment performance.
Observational skills to notice any problems with images.
Strong oral communication skills to field patient’s questions and collaborate with other members of the care team.
Organizational skills to maintain an orderly supply area.
Mathematical skills to assist with contract administration and maintain inventory.
Computer skills to operate MRI equipment, use e-mail, update medical records using the EMR.
Proficient in Medics preferred.
Education:
Must hold a certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Work Experience:
At least one (1) year of increasingly responsible experience in radiology.
Physical Requirements:
Be able to sit for long periods of time.
Ability to lift and adjust patients as needed for positioning.
