Job summary

Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA is seeking an MRI technologist to obtain high-quality MRI images and support radiology staff during procedures. The role emphasizes patient care, safety compliance, and accurate image review.

You will prepare the MRI scanner, run quality control tests, and participate in training and guiding MRI staff. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare MRI scanner and perform quality control tests

• Establish procedures and protocols to ensure effective communication and quality
• Mentor and train MRI staff as needed
• Assist in additional duties as required

Job description

Hourly Wage Estimate: $36.90 - $55.35 / hour

Currently offering a sign-on bonus up to 10k.

Job Summary And Qualifications

• Demonstrates ability to obtain quality MRI images


• Complies with safety guidelines for patients, staff and self.


• Demonstrates ability to perform all necessary computer operations


• Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner


• Prepares MRI scanner and performs quality control tests


• Provide support for radiology nurse and/or radiologist during MRI patient procedures


• Review exams for technical accuracy and identifies anatomical orientation on all images.


• Demonstrates willingness to assist in additional duties


• Establishes procedures and protocols that ensure effective communication and quality


• Assures guidance, orientation and training of MRI staff.

Qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date


• Vocational School Graduate


• (ARRT-MR) Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or (ARRT-R) Radiography, or (ARMRIT) American Registry of MRI Technologists must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
