Job summary

Hmixray in Pasadena, CA is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our patient‑focused radiology team. You will perform high‑quality MRI exams, ensure safety, and optimize image quality through proper protocol adjustments.

The role requires ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, a state license if applicable, and BLS. Venipuncture may be required; prior diagnostic imaging experience is preferred. We value compassionate care and professional collaboration.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology where applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification may be required depending on state regulations.
• Minimum of 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast safely and effectively.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, and FOV to produce quality images.
• Guide patients through procedures, addressing questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient PHI and property on site.
• Safeguard medications on site in line with policies and laws.
• Respect company property and patient information on-site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.


• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.


• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.


• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.


• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.


• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.


• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.


• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.


• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.


• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.


• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Pay Range: $26.00 - $40.00 / hour
