Desert Regional Medical Center

Desert Regional Medical Center is a 385-bed acute-care hospital classified as a stroke receiving center and Level I Trauma Center with an innovative, patient-centered, and evidence-based Rehabilitation Services Department. Our compassionate team provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services, including acute care rehabilitation, joint replacement & spinal surgery, neurosurgery, ICU, Telemetry, step-down care, skilled nursing, as well as outpatient therapy, hand and lymphedema clinics.

General Duties

Under the supervision of the Radiologists, the Imaging Technologist shall provide MRI services to patients. The primary responsibility is to operate imaging equipment, prepare exam rooms, maintain equipment and supplies, and provide imaging services utilizing MRI coils and equipment. Emphasis is placed on safety, including educating staff and patients. The performance and behavior should reflect the hospital's Mission Statement and Core Values. Demographic information and limited Patient Health Information related to the job will be handled responsibly.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited MRI program.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (must be maintained).
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• ARRT Registration in Diagnostic Radiography (if performing CT).
• California State licensure (CRT) (if performing CT).

Preferred Qualifications

• MRI ARRT Certification.

Work Schedule

Full Time, 12-hour variable days, possibly including 2 day shifts and 1 night shift per week. Days to be determined.

• Ensure a safe environment, utilizing all necessary precautions.

• Provide callback for emergent procedures.
• Knowledge of MRI principles and physics.
• Work closely with radiologists to expedite safe healthcare imaging.
• Perform any additional duties as requested by the supervisor.
