Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to provide high-quality imaging for patients under physician supervision. You will administer contrast, evaluate safety protocols, and review eligibility of implants using vendor resources.

The role requires ARRT MR certification, radiologic tech education, and 1 year X-ray cross-training experience. You will document patient records and communicate procedures clearly.

Qualifications

• Current ARRT MR certification required or in process.
• coursework in radiologic technology and patient safety.
• Cross-training in X-ray and MRI procedures welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality MRI imaging under physician supervision.
• Administer MRI contrast per protocol and ensure safety.
• Review patient records and implants using vendor resources.
• Explain procedures to patients and document activities.
• Maintain accurate patient records and quality images for interpretation.

Job Description

Provide quality MRI Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards. Duties may include but are not limited to: Administration of MRI contrast per protocol, Evaluates and approves patient MRI safety screening form prior to patient entering scanner, Knowledge of MRI safety zones and other safety regulations. Reviewing patient records for accuracy and evaluating all implants and devices through vendor resources. Acting as a liaison with physician and supportive care personnel. Maintaining patients records, reports, and files. performs patient MRI exams per protocol, reviews imaging for accuracy and quality prior to sending for interpretation. examination and procedure to patient and completes departmental documentation. We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.24 - $61.82 hourly.Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
