Job summary

Hmixray in Hewlett, NY is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and administer contrast as needed. You will guide patients through the exam and respond to physician questions, maintaining patient privacy and professional conduct.

The ideal candidate holds ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a state license if applicable, and BLS. At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred, with a signing bonus or loan plan offered.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions and FOV to produce high-quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process and address questions/concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and on-site medications per policy.
• Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
