Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging and to assist with venipuncture and sedation in collaboration with radiologists and radiology nurses.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technologist Program, ARRT MR certification (or ARRT R with MR on track within 1 year), and state certification. A minimum 1 year of experience is preferred; opportunities for growth and teamwork are highlighted.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Current ARRT certification - MR or ARRT (R) with plan to obtain MR within 1 year of orientation.
• Texas Department of State Health certification.
• Work Experience: 1 year preferred.
• Employee may be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of orientation.

In this highly technical allied imaging professional position, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide the very best imaging services, which include ultrasound, CT scan, PET scan, interventional radiology, digital mammography, and nuclear medicine. The primary purpose of the MRI Technologist position is to perform routine, specialized and interventional MRI imaging. In addition, he/she performs venipuncture when indicated and assists the Radiologist and Radiology nurses with sedation cases.

Your Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program
• Current BCLS certification
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification - ARRT (MR)
• Texas Department of State Health certification
• Work Experience: 1 year preferred
• Or ARRT (R); employee will be required to obtain ARRT (MR) license within 1 year of completing orientation
