Job summary

Shields Health Care Group is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in Milford, Arkansas. You will provide patient-centered care, operate MRI equipment, and support a fast-paced, safety‑driven clinic environment.

Responsibilities include patient positioning, contrast administration, data entry, and collaboration with radiologists and staff. ARRT MRI certification and CPR are required; ARMRIT accepted at some locations. Pay ranges $40-$60/hr plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with MRI scanning is required.
• Must have MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications; ARMRIT accepted at some locations.
• Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods and assist patients with mobility.

Responsibilities

• Follow all policies to ensure patient safety.
• Inform patients about exam procedures.
• Position patients accurately and ensure comfort.
• Administer intravenous contrast as required.
• Document exam data and forward films to Radiologist.
• Maintain equipment and assist clerical staff as needed.
• Adhere to credentialing policies and training requirements.

E/O Saturday 7am-11pm and E/O Sunday 2:30pm-11pm

What you will do

• Follow all proper policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure patient safety at all times. These policies, procedures and protocols can be issued by Shields or the partnering hospital group for the location you are assigned to.
• Inform the patient of all aspects of their exam to their level of understanding.
• Ensure patient is cleared of all contraindications and hazards.
• Accurately position the patient and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain visual and verbal contact with the patient during the exam.
• Perform scan in accordance to center’s protocol.
• Administer intravenous contrast.
• Complete all forms pertaining to patient’s exam.
• Record patient data to Tech Data Entry program.
• Provide and issue films/CD when appropriate.
• Forward data and or films/CD to Radiologist upon completion of exam.
• Assist clerical staff as circumstances arise.
• Clean and re-supply equipment and rooms as needed.
• Adhere to all necessary training/licenses based on the credentialing policy.
• Contrast administration

What you need:

• This opportunity requires prior MRI scanning experience.
• Necessary requirements include MRI/ARRT/CPR certifications, and fantastic interpersonal skills. ARMRIT certification accepted at some locations.
• Sit and utilize a computer for extended periods of time
• Assist patients with mobility difficulties
• Some inpatient locations may require employee’s to participate in a call schedule/rotation
• To push, pull, and lift a minimum of twenty-five pounds
• Above physical requirements can be met with or without accommodation

Additional Job Description:

Pay range for this position is $40-$60/hr + benefits. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
