Job summary

Methuen Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our Radiology team onsite. You will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality MR studies, and communicate effectively with radiologists and staff. The role may involve training new technologists and patient coordinators.

We require ARRT registration, state license (if applicable), BLS, and either MRI experience or enrollment in an accredited MRI program. A strong organizational and computer literacy foundation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience.
• Registered with ARRT.
• State license, if applicable.
• BLS Certification.
• MRI training: 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT — No experience required.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Patient Safety, including pre-screening for contra-indications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supply, cleans units, assists in preparing for transport on a daily basis.
• Effectively communicate with customers and/or radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
• Registered with ARRT.

• Technologists registered in other modalities — 3 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience or currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
• MR registered technologist, RT(MR) or ARMRIT — No experience required.
• Organizational and multitasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree or Equivalent Experience
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
• 1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging experience.
