Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist for day shift in Mansfield, Texas. You will ensure exam rooms are ready, operate MRI equipment, manage IV contrast per safety rules, and support patient comfort and imaging quality.

Minimum education includes high school diploma; an Associate degree is preferred along with 1+ year radiology/MRI training and ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification with BLS. This facility emphasizes safety, quality and patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have, or be pursuing, an ARRT MR certification and BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year experience in radiology and MRI training preferred.
• AS degree is preferred for consideration; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use and that equipment is cleaned and safety checked.
• Notify staff when inventory is low and educate patients about MRI procedures, contrast use and safety.
• Position patients accurately with immobilization and coils to ensure quality imaging.
• Prepare and administer IV contrast following safety guidelines and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Perform daily QC checks in compliance with departmental policies.

PRN Rate: $47.58/hour

• This is for our new Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Midlothian opening February 2027*
• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.
