Job summary

Texas Health Mansfield is seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to support the new Texas Health Neighborhood Care & Wellness Midlothian opening in February 2027. You will ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready, explain MRI procedures and safety to patients, and position patients for high-quality imaging.

Responsibilities include IV contrast prep, safety monitoring, and daily QC checks, with a focus on patient comfort and accuracy. This role requires MRI knowledge and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• 1+ year radiology/MRI training preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR required.
• ARRT MRI or ARMRIT MRI certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low and educates patients about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety.
• Positions patients accurately using immobilization and coil placement for high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast and monitors for adverse reactions.
• Performs daily system quality control checks in compliance with policies and regulations.

Job Description:

PRN Rate: $47.58/hour

• Ensures exam rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for use, and that all equipment undergoes routine cleaning and safety checks.
• Notifies appropriate personnel when inventory is low. Educates patients and family members about MRI procedures, contrast use, and safety precautions, promoting comfort and cooperation throughout the exam.
• Positions patients accurately and comfortably using appropriate immobilization and coil placement techniques to ensure high-quality imaging.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast material following safety guidelines and monitors patients for adverse reactions.
• Performs and documents daily system quality control (QC) checks in compliance with departmental policies and regulatory requirements.

• Registered Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)ARRT)) [Required] OR Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT) [Required]
