Description

An established healthcare organization in Manning, South Carolina is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join its diagnostic imaging team at an acute care hospital. This is an on-site position, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality diagnostic MRI imaging to inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients within a growing, locally owned and managed not-for-profit health system.

As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI scanning equipment, follow strict MRI safety protocols, and produce accurate diagnostic images that support physicians in making timely clinical decisions. You will work closely with radiologists and care teams to ensure a patient-centered experience across a wide range of imaging needs. Day shifts are available for this role.

The position offers an hourly compensation range of $30 to $43 per hour, along with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. New graduates are considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic MRI examinations for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients
• Operate MRI scanners in accordance with established protocols and ACR accreditation guidelines
• Enforce MRI safety procedures to protect patients, staff, and visitors
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including screening for contraindications and explaining procedures
• Position patients accurately and select appropriate imaging sequences and parameters
• Review images for technical quality and make adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with radiologists to support accurate diagnostic interpretation
• Maintain accurate patient records and examination documentation
• Perform routine quality control checks and basic equipment care
• Provide courteous, professional customer service to patients and families

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program
• ARRT certification
• BLS certification
• Ability to meet ACR accreditation guidelines for MRI
• Proficiency in MRI scanner operation
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices
• Ability to perform diagnostic MRI imaging for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency patients
• Preferred: MRI experience in an acute care hospital (new graduates considered)
• Preferred: Experience working with radiologists
• Preferred: Experience with equipment care and customer service
