Job summary

CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, Nebraska is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging examinations to support accurate diagnosis.

You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment while capturing detailed images. This role requires expert MRI proficiency, strict attention to image quality and safety, and clear patient communication to deliver a comfortable diagnostic experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent upon hire
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology upon hire
• Basic Life Support - CPR upon hire
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT upon hire
• Registered Technologist MRI within 24 months

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
• Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operations of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special images of specific body parts. Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
• Starts IV's and the injecting of contrast, if applicable per protocol.
• Maintains records for compliance for JACHO and ACR accreditation.

Job Requirements

Required

• Associates Other (2 year program) or equivalent, upon hire and
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Radiology, upon hire and
• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, within 24 - months

Preferred

• 1-2 years MRI experience

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 /hour
