Job summary

CHI Health St. Elizabeth in Lincoln, NE is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures.

You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and capture detailed anatomical images with a focus on safety and comfort. The role requires ARRT MRI and Radiography certifications, CPR, and completion of an accredited radiology program; 24-month MRI certification window applies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent
• Graduate of an accredited radiology program
• CPR/Basic Life Support
• Registered Technologist Radiography (ARRT)
• Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging within 24 months

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions
• Prepare patients for scans and position them for accurate images

Job Summary And Responsibilities

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions. Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images. To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Utilizes innovative customer service techniques to provide a positive patient care experience for the patient and their family.
• Acts professionally in all dealings with internal and external customers to promote a working environment that focuses on the patient experience.
• Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operations of high field strength magnets and related equipment to produce special images of specific body parts. Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
• Screen patients for MR safety prior to procedure performance.
• Starts IV's and the injecting of contrast, if applicable per protocol.
• Maintains records for compliance for JACHO and ACR accreditation.

• Associates Other (2 year program) or equivalent, upon hire and

Pay Range

$32.30 - $48.05 /hour
