Job summary

RadNet is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our imaging team in a fast-paced environment. You will perform MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and administer contrast when needed, while adjusting parameters to obtain high-quality images. You will guide patients through the process and respond to physician questions.

The role requires ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, state licensure if applicable, and a minimum year of imaging experience, with benefits and support offered by RadNet.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, and field of view to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam process and address questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient property and health information.
• Safeguard medications on site per policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.

You Will

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Pay Range:

$25.00 - $40.00 per hour
