Job summary

RadNet is seeking an MRI Technologist to join a dedicated imaging team in Thousand Oaks. You will perform high-quality MRI exams, ensure patient safety, and administer contrast when needed, while guiding patients through the exam with clear communication.

The role requires ARRT(MR) certification, state licensure if applicable, and BLS. Prior creditable experience and a strong commitment to patient care are valued in a fast-paced radiology environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) certification required or equivalent.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology where applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies.
• Administer contrast safely when needed.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness and field of view to obtain quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam and address questions.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and property.

When you join us as an MRI Technologist you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

$26.00 - $40.00 / Hour
