  • Two years MRI experience preferred.

Role Description

This full-time, on-site MRI Technologist role is based at UT Medical in Knoxville, TN. The MRI Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality MRI examinations, following established protocols and safety standards to support accurate diagnosis and patient care. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating MRI equipment, assessing image quality, and collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals. The role also involves maintaining detailed documentation, adhering to radiation safety and infection control guidelines, and supporting patient education by explaining procedures and answering questions. The MRI Technologist contributes to a patient-centered environment by demonstrating professionalism, clear communication, and respect for diverse patient needs.


Qualifications


  • Candidates should possess credentials and certification such as American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) related to MRI or Radiologic Technology.

  • Candidates should possess expertise in Medical Imaging, including MRI techniques, image acquisition, and quality assurance.

  • Additional qualifications include graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or MRI program, current BLS certification, and experience in a hospital or clinical imaging setting.

  • Beneficial skills include strong communication and interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, comfort with electronic health records and imaging software, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment.

  • Two years experience in MRI preferred.
