Job summary

Akumin is seeking an MRI Technologist for our Key West facility. This full-time role focuses on delivering safe, high-quality MRI imaging and compassionate patient care in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

Your responsibilities include pre-screening for safety, producing diagnostic images, maintaining the unit, and collaborating with radiologists and staff. You will also help train new technologists and PCs as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS registered technologist.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification and state license as required.
• Active state driver's license.
• Preferred: ARRT MR registry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and pre-screening as needed.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic MRI images.
• Order supplies, clean the unit, and prep for transport.
• Communicate clearly with patients, radiologists, and staff.
• Train new technologists and assistants.

We are currently hiring a MRI Technologist at our Key West facility. This is a full‑time position located in a beautiful city.

Our MRI technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure, and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety, including pre‑screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc.
• Produces high‑quality diagnostic images.
• Orders supplies, cleans unit, and assists in preparing for transport daily.
• Effectively communicates with patients, customers, and radiologists.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Registered technologist with the ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS.
• State license as required.
• CPR certification.
• Active state driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
