Job summary

Hmixray in Irvine, CA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient safety. You will administer contrast when needed and optimize imaging parameters to deliver excellent diagnostic images.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, a relevant state license, and a BLS certificate. At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred; promotion and growth opportunities exist in a dynamic radiology team.

Qualifications

  • ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification is required.
  • State license in diagnostic radiologic technology may be required.
  • BLS certification is required.
  • Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to policies and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast when needed, safely and effectively.
  • Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, FOV to produce quality images.
  • Guide patients through procedures with clear, empathetic communication.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Safeguard patient property and Health Information.
  • Maintain on-site medications per policy and legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
  • Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships.

You Will:
  • Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
  • Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
  • Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:
  • ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
  • Must have BLS certification

  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $25.00 to $40.00/hour
