Hoag Memorial Hospital is seeking an MRI Technologist I to perform routine and advanced MRI procedures, ensuring high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient safety. The role requires a minimum of three years of MRI experience and certifications, contributing to a professional and quality-oriented environment within the Radiology Department.
Salary Range : $44.5600 - $68.8600 / hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and
the direction of the technical supervisor and medical director, the MRI Technologist I demonstrates proficiency in all skills required to competently perform routine and advanced MRI procedures under minimal supervision. All MRI technologists utilize knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and patient positioning to obtain high quality diagnostic images. The technologist competently evaluates the technical quality of the images obtained and makes necessary corrections to optimize the exam. They educate the patient / family about the procedure and report all changes in patient's status, including initiating emergency response if required. They accurately document patient information in the appropriate hospital systems. Hospital based positions may require call responsibility and rotation to hospital adjacent imaging center locations. Performs other duties as assigned.All MRI Technologists project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct and support the Radiology Department mission. They participate in the continuous quality improvement process while maintaining a working knowledge and following all departmental and organizational policies and procedures. This knowledge may include the use of specialized instrumentation and quality control requirements, as well as specific regulatory requirements of Title 22, California Licensing & Certification of Healthcare Facilities. Education and ExperienceAssociates Degree or higher. Graduate of an ARRT approved educational program in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is required.Three years of MRI experience is required, experience in an acute care environment is preferred.Hospital based technologists must complete two (2) units of mandatory stroke specific training / education annually as required.Certifications RequiredAmerican Heart Association BLS certificationAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification in MRI ARMRIT certification may be accepted if candidate is ARRT board eligible and obtains ARRT MR certification within 6 months of hire.
