RadNet in Huntington Park, CA is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will guide patients through procedures, manage contrast administration, and respond to physician questions, while safeguarding health information and medications.

The ideal candidate has ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification, a state license if required, and BLS; one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to policies and protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed in a safe manner.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions, FOV for quality images.
• Guide patients through procedures and address questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.

Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
