Job description

Overview

As our MRI Technologist at CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs, you’ll be responsible for operating MRI equipment and creating scans as per the physicians' directions, screening patients and explaining procedures to them, and inspecting and troubleshooting equipment. You should be able to collaborate with other healthcare professionals and also train junior MRI technologists.

To be successful as an MRI technologist, you should have sound knowledge of human anatomy and MRI safety procedures. Outstanding MRI technologists will be highly analytical and able to explain complex information clearly.

CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is a 280 bed faith-based, non-profit, Magnet Accredited facility providing quality health care to patients and communities from all over the State of Arkansas. As the only level II trauma center in the southwest part of the state, CHI St Vincent Hot Springs is the regional referral center for cardiology, trauma, neuro, ortho, oncology and critical care/pulmonary. Responsibilities

  1. Analyzing patient histories and completing screenings for pacemakers and injuries where metal objects were involved.
  2. Preparing and administering contrast dyes.
  3. Addressing patients’ concerns and ensuring that they are comfortable and calm during scans.
  4. Performing regular inspections of the MRI equipment and machines, and scheduling maintenance and repairs as needed.
  5. Positioning the patients and completing MRI scans according to the physicians' specifications.

Qualifications

  1. Graduate of a program of Radiologic Technology accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)
  2. Active Radiologic Technology license in good standing with the State of Arkansas
  3. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)

Pay Range

$28.40 - $41.17 /hour
