Job summary

Hmixray in New Jersey is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our radiology team. You will perform high-quality MRI exams on incoming patients, ensuring safety and accuracy while adhering to policy and protocol standards.

Responsibilities include administering contrast when needed, adjusting TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, and FOV to produce optimal images, and guiding patients through the exam with empathy. ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(MR) or ARMRIT certification required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Adjust TR, TE, flip angle, slice thickness, acquisitions and FOV to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam and address questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient health information and property on site.
• Safeguard on-site medications per policies and legal requirements.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during interactions.
• Interact diplomatically and empathetically with patients, families, and the public.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

Pay Range: $32.00 - $55.00 per hour
