Responsibilities
  • Monday-Friday 07:30-15:30
  • The MRI Technologist performs departmental MRI examinations, assists the radiologist during procedures, and produces high-quality images.
  • Serves the following age-specific patient populations: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Uses two patient identifiers.
  • Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy.
  • Assesses patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with images.
  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload and coordinates multiple exams into the proper sequence to ensure no conflicts.
  • Assesses the doctor’s order and the patient’s diagnosis to determine optimal images.
  • Assesses patient’s condition, comfort, and safety during procedures.
  • Observes and reports any change in patient’s condition to the physician during the procedure.
  • Communicates accurate patient information in a timely manner to peers, physicians, and other departments.
  • Uses all diagnostic, computer, and communication equipment within safe limits.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School graduate or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program.
  • Registered in Radiology.
  • Registered in MRI or registry eligible (must complete registry within one year of hire date).
  • AHA BLS certification.

Pay Range

$26.38 - $38.26 per hour
