Job description

Join to apply for the MRI Technologist role at CHI.

Responsibilities

  • Monday - Friday, 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
  • Perform departmental MRI examinations, assist radiologists during procedures, and produce high-quality images.
  • Serve patient populations across all ages: pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
  • Use two patient identifiers and verify doctor's orders for accuracy.
  • Assess patients for artifacts and take measures to prevent interference with images.
  • Prioritize workload effectively and coordinate multiple exams to avoid conflicts.
  • Determine optimal images based on doctor's orders and patient diagnosis.
  • Monitor patient condition, comfort, and safety during procedures.
  • Report any changes in patient condition to physicians during procedures.
  • Communicate patient information accurately and timely to team members.
  • Operate diagnostic, computer, and communication equipment safely.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
  • Registered in Radiology
  • Registered in MRI or registry eligible (must complete registry within one year of hire)
  • American Heart Association BLS certification
