Job summary

Holy Cross Health seeks a dedicated MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams in a clinical setting. You will inject contrast as needed and ensure imaging aligns with physician diagnoses, while following safety protocols.

Applicants must hold a Florida CRT license with ARRT MR certification and BLS. Hospital experience and at least one year of MRI work are preferred; evening shift, on-site at the Rio Vista location in Fort Lauderdale.

Qualifications

• As required by Florida CRT license and ARRT MR certification.
• ARRT and MR certification are required, with BLS.
• Experience preferred in radiology/MRI settings.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI examinations accurately according to exam protocols.
• Uses PACS and RIS systems per protocol and manufacturer guidance.
• Maintains safe practices in the magnet area and understands magnetic physics.
• Works with patients across all ages from infants to older adults.

Employment Type: Full time Shift: Evening Shift Description: Monday thru Friday 1130am-8pm at the Rio Vista location
on call and holiday rotation required
rotation to offsite MRI facilities when needed.

Position Purpose

As an MRI Technologist you will work in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care in a clinic or practice environment. An MRI Technologist injects patients with contrast media, such as a dye, so that the images will show up on the scanner . The scanners use magnetic fields in combination with the contrast agent to produce images that a physician can use to diagnose medical problems

What you will do:

• Performs MRI examination accurately and proficiently with an understanding of protocols for each exam.
• Knowledgeable in the proper use of the PACS and RIS systems in accordance with set protocols and the manufacturer recommendations.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of computer language and cross-sectional anatomy. Demonstrates an understanding of magnetic physics and practices appropriate safety procedures in the magnet area.
• Patients served include all age groups (Infant through Older Adults as identified in Performance Standards).

Licensure:

• Florida CRT License is required.
• ARRT is required
• ARRT (MR) is required
• BLS certification is required
• Experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
• At least one year of MRI experience is preferred.
• Hospital experience is preferred
