Description

Location: Emory University Orthopedics & Spine Hospital

Hours: PRN with call back and holiday work rotations

  • Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
  • Communicates patient needs and responses through appropriate verbal and written correspondence.
  • Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment and stays updated on medical device uses.
  • Assumes responsibility and provides direct care for all procedures performed in this area. Ensures patient preparation for procedures.
  • Provides quality care during procedures. Assists with patient and family education. May support research activities.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology. Provides complex technical care to meet patient needs.
  • Assists with planning and performing multiple diagnostic procedures in appropriate sequence.
  • Acts as a resource for students and junior technologists. Completes procedures in the Radiology Information System for billing.
  • Prepares billing sheets and submits them as per guidelines. Responsible for complete patient care documentation in imaging services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and registered with ARRT at minimum.
  • At least two (2) years of experience, including one (1) year in MR. Advanced certification in MR preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification as per American Heart Association requirements.
