Job summary

HSHS is seeking an MRI Technologist to join the MRI department at St. Anthony's Hospital in Effingham, IL. The role involves operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality imaging studies.

Schedule includes two 8-hour and two 12-hour day shifts, with on-call every 4th weekend and rotating holidays. Requires an associate degree in allied health or related field, ARRT/ARMRIT eligibility, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program required.
• One year radiology experience preferred.
• BLS certification required or within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment and perform imaging procedures.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during scanning.
• Ensure imaging quality and proper documentation.

Pay Range

$32.58 - $48.87 A successful candidate's actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience, skills, training, certifications and education.

MRI Tech I Pay Range: $32.58 - $40.73 - $48.87

MRI Tech II Pay Range: $34.21 - $42.76 - $51.31

Education Qualifications

Associates degree in allied health, applied/radiologic science or certificate program is required.

Experience Qualifications

1 year of Radiology Technology experience preferred.

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations

One of the following is required:

• Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (R.T.(R)) or a Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (R.T.(MR)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Certification or registry eligible as a Registered Technologist by the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/transfer.
• If certified through ARRT, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) certification/registry is preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
