Henry Ford Health is seeking a Magnetic Resonance Technologist for evening shifts at Detroit Main Campus. This role involves performing MRI studies, preparing patients, and ensuring quality control of the equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma, BCLS certification, and ideally two years of radiography experience. Candidates must obtain MRI board certification within 12 months of hire.
Under general supervision, performs magnetic resonance imaging studies using a magnetic resonance imaging device, which includes preparing patients, positioning, setting imaging parameters, and performing computer processing and displaying images. Assists in developing protocol for patient studies. Performs quality control procedures on equipment.
High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required. Must maintain the required hours of continued education. Healthcare Provider certification required. (BCLS) Two (2) years of experience in Radiography is recommended but not mandatory.
Current certification with the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT), or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (MRI) preferred. MRI board certification (ARRT) (MR) must be achieved within 12 months of the date of hire if:
