Job Summary

The MRI Technologist, supervised by a Radiologist, performs MRI procedures on patients for diagnosing disease and injury, following established protocols.

Essential Functions
  • Performs high-quality MRI procedures according to exam protocol in a timely manner.
  • Communicates effectively with patients using AIDET, identifies patient needs, and ensures correct exam performance.
  • Prepares the patient and area for the procedure, positions the patient, and adjusts equipment.
  • Follows safety, infection-control, drug, and radiation policies; maintains sterile techniques and hand hygiene.
  • Maintains equipment and work area standards, reports issues, and assists with inventory.
  • Ensures safety screening and proper documentation for patients.
  • Maintains medical imaging records according to policies and standards.

  • Ability to perform high-quality MRI procedures efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.
  • Ability to work independently and stay calm under stress.
  • Ability to serve as a preceptor and take call if required.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Less than 1 Year of Experience
  • Certifications: ARMRIT, ARRT-MR, or ARRT-R as applicable
