Health Images is seeking a full-time MRI Technologist to join Colorado Springs Imaging East. You will perform MRI procedures according to protocol and patient age, prepare patients, and help ensure image quality for radiologist interpretation.

This position requires 2+ years MRI experience, ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification, CPR, and the ability to educate patients. You will work in a fast-paced outpatient setting, maintain equipment, and coordinate with radiology staff.

Responsabilités

• Interface with patient to ascertain medical history and provide procedure explanations.
• Review patient charts for missing information; screen implants and allergies.
• Obtain prior films/exams and perform high quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Attend to patient care before, during, and after exam; notify if condition changes.
• Transfer images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinate scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintain and inspect equipment; report quality concerns or failures.
• Interface with Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager on department concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Colorado Springs Imaging East is looking for a full-time MRI Technologist to join our team!
|Position Pay Range $38.16 -$47.36 |Friday/ Saturday/ Sunday 6:30am-5:00pm and Monday 6:30am-2:00pm|$7,000 sign-on bonus available to eligible hires |

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions:

1. Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.

2. Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.

3. Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.

4. Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.

5. Transfers images to other locations as needed.

6. Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.

7. Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.

8. Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Job Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed

• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
