Envision Imaging in Sunnyvale, TX is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform MRI procedures, prep patients, and maintain safety and image quality with collaboration from Radiologists.

The role requires 2+ years MRI experience, ARRT MR certification, CPR, and state license (if applicable). Monday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM and Tue/Thu/Fri 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM, with competitive pay and strong benefits. Opportunities to grow with the team.

Responsabilidades

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent; screens patients for implants, allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans for radiologist interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient care before, during and after exam and notifies appropriate party if conditions change.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and inspects equipment; reports quality concerns and deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Envision Imaging is looking for an MRI Technologist to join our team in Sunnyvale, TX

Monday 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM + Tuesday/Thursday/Friday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM | Position Pay Range: $37.51 - $48.35

Summary/Objective

Performs MRI procedures according to protocol and age-specific needs, including patient preparation. Maintains and monitors patient environment, adheres to safety procedures and contributes to the security and maintenance of the unit.

Essential Functions

• Interfaces with patient to ascertain medical history and provides instructions and explanation of the procedure and/or exam to obtain the best possible image.
• Reviews patient charts for missed clinical information and/or consent. Screens patients for surgical and other implants, contrast allergies, etc.
• Obtains prior films/exams as needed and performs high quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation.
• Performs exams while attending to patient’s care before, during and following exam and notifies the appropriate party if patient’s condition changes at any time.
• Transfers images to other locations as needed.
• Coordinates scan protocols with Radiologist.
• Maintains and regularly inspects equipment and immediately reports any quality concerns as well as equipment failures or deficiencies.
• Interfaces with Lead Technologist & Center/Area Manager regarding any and all departmental concerns.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervision responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment. Potential exposure to radiation, which is minimized by the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Possible exposure to bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation and other conditions common to a medical office environment. Often requires work in cool, dimly lighted rooms.

Job Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:

• Two plus years’ experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) – preferred
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed
• Detail oriented, self-motivated, a problem solver and a team player
• Ability to navigate multiple computer screens and browsers quickly and accurately
• Ability to excel in a very fast-pace team environment
• Ability to continuously “exceed” company and customer expectation
• Strong communication skills & professional demeanor

Education/Certifications

• Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program
• Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification with Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or current American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
• Current license from state medical board (if applicable)
• Current CPR certification
