Position: MRI Technologist

Employment Type: Full-Time (36 hrs/wk) with 3 12-hour shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, on-call, and other shifts assigned.

Medical Imaging Department

The Medical Imaging team provides services including Computed Tomography, Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasonography, Breast Health Services, Bone Densitometry, MRI, and Interventional Radiology. We are hiring an MRI Technologist to work on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm, with shifts including weekends, holidays, on-call, and other assigned shifts.

Pay Range

Non-Certified: $31.00 - $56.81/hour

Certified: $31.50 - $57.82/hour

Based on verified education and experience

Responsibilities

1. Obtain and analyze patient medical records to ensure proper imaging protocols are used.
2. Operate MRI scanners for various procedures including MRI, unenhanced, enhanced, MRA, etc., in a professional and courteous manner.
3. Review processed images for quality and completeness for diagnostic purposes.
4. Complete imaging media and records accurately and promptly, including technical details.
5. Document results and monitor cases, alerting Radiologists of any issues.
6. Perform quality control checks on imaging equipment and document results, reporting faulty equipment.
7. Manage MRI safety protocols for the assigned area.
8. Assist RNs and Physicians during examinations, including preparing supplies and assisting with contrast injections.

Education and Experience Requirements

1. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
2. New York State Diagnostic Medical Radiography License.
3. Current ARRT Registration.
4. ARRT CT Board Certification or 1-year full-time CT experience in lieu of certification.
5. Certification by ARRT MR Board within 1 year of hire if not already certified.
6. Certification with the Bureau of Environmental Radiation Protection to inject contrast media within 90 days of hire.
