Job summary

Highland Hospital of Rochester NY is seeking a Radiologic MRI Technologist to perform advanced MRI procedures under physician direction. The technologist applies independent judgment to obtain diagnostic images and supports radiology quality standards.

The position is full-time with a 12:30 pm – 11:00 pm shift in Rochester, NY. Eligibility includes ARRT/NCT or CNMT or RDMS credentials, NYS licensure, and current BLS CPR.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or a Nuclear Medicine Technology program, or complete an ultrasound program accredited by the CAAHEP.
• Must possess ARRT(N), CNMT, or RDMS certification depending on license pathways.
• Licensed in New York State with ability to perform IV injections for MRI exams within 6 months if required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Apply independent judgment and initiative to obtain radiologic diagnostic images.
• Maintain BLS CPR certification and adhere to safety and quality standards.

At the direction of a qualified physician, the technologist performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement with ingenuity and initiative to apply Magnetic Resonance Imaging for radiologic diagnosis.

Salary Range

$33.86-$44.98 an hour

The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements

• Education: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology, or graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program, or completion of formal training in an Ultrasound program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs required.
• License/Certifications:
• Either ARRT(N) OR
• CNMT OR
• RDMS certification OR
• NYS Radiology Technologist license certified to do IV injections (ARRT certification in Radiology will be required if NYS licensed). Will consider candidates who are Licensed Radiology Technologists in NY State and become certified to do IV injections for MRI exams within 6 months of hire, including obtaining or maintaining a current BLS CPR certification. OR
• Qualified to be licensed. If qualified to be licensed the validation of a degree from above, as well as a temporary NYS license will need to be provided Must become licensed in New York State and ARRT Certified before temporary license expires.
