Job summary

Novant Health in Charlotte, NC seeks an MRI Technologist to support the Outpatient Imaging team. You will prepare patients, operate MR equipment, and assist physicians to obtain diagnostic scans in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The role requires an associate degree and ARRT MR certification, with at least one year of MR experience preferred. On-site, full-time with weekends; strong communication and safety focus expected.

Qualifications

• Educational requirement: 2-year/associate degree; ARRT Radiography or MR program graduate required.
• MR experience: Minimum of one year preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT MR RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) certification; NH-specific registrations required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic MRI procedures; prepare patients and operate MR equipment safely to obtain diagnostic scans.

Facility: NHI Museum (Outpatient Imaging) | Location: Charlotte, NC | Full-Time (3x12 Weekends)

What You'll Do

The MR Technologist will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We're Looking For

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NH Medical Center-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR) within 6 months of hire, required. NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required. Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement, required. Applicable state license,required.

Additional Skills/Requirements (required)

Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
