A leading imaging center is in search of a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join their team in Baton Rouge. The role includes operating MRI equipment, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and collaborating with radiologists for quality imaging services. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology and will be dedicated to providing excellent patient care.
Capitol Imaging Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MRI Technologist to join our growing imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images, ensuring patient comfort and safety, and working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality imaging services.
Perform MRI examinations following established protocols and physician orders.
Operate MRI scanner and peripheral equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
Screen patients for safety and contraindications to MRI procedures.
Prepare patients for MRI exams, explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and timely exam reporting.
Ensure MRI equipment is properly maintained and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
Adhere to HIPAA and infection control standards at all times.
Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
Manage daily workflow and assist with scheduling and patient throughput.
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
ARRT (MR) certification or registry-eligible with intention to obtain within 6 months.
State licensure.
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
1+ years of MRI experience preferred, but new graduates with clinical training are welcome to apply.
Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices and procedures.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Outpatient imaging center.
Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning.
