Job summary

Hmixray in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI exams in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will guide patients through the process, administer contrast when needed, and ensure safety and comfort throughout the procedure.

Required ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification with BLS, and a Florida license preferred. Minimum one year of diagnostic imaging experience is welcomed.

Qualifications

• ARRT MR or ARMRIT certification is required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable.
• BLS certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification may be required depending on state rules.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Ensure patient safety by following policies and protocols.
• Administer contrast safely when needed.
• Adjust TR/TE/flip angle and other settings to achieve quality images.
• Guide patients through the exam and address questions.
• Coordinate with physicians and respond to needs.
• Safeguard patient property and PHI.
• Keep medications secure and manage on-site inventory.
• Maintain professional behavior with patients and staff.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.

You Will:

• Perform high quality MRI exams on incoming patients.
• Assure patient safety by adhering to company policies and established protocols.
• Administer contrast as needed, in a safe and effective manner.
• Understand and use TR, TE, flip angel, slice thickness, acquisitions, field of view and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT certification.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology if applicable
• Must have BLS certification
• A venipuncture certificate may be required depending on state regulations.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!
