Job summary

Westerly Hospital is seeking an MRI technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations under the supervision of radiologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout procedures.

Requirements include ARRT registration or eligibility and a minimum of one year MRI experience, with preference for familiarity in ultrasound, CT and related modalities. CPR/BLS certification is required; 3 months to obtain ARRT if eligible.

Qualifications

• ARRT registration or eligible; must obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year MRI experience.
• Experience in ultrasound, CT, nuclear medicine, DSA, cross-sectional anatomy and computer operations preferred.
• CPR (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations following established protocols.
• Manage time effectively to complete tasks.
• Maintain MRI equipment and coils for safe operation.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Demonstrate knowledge of contrast injection techniques and safety.
• Support daily department operations.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills.
• Collaborate with department staff and other hospital areas.
