Job description

MRI Technician

Location: Indianapolis, United States, 46260

Position: 1 Contractor Onsite position

Department: Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Shift timings: 15:00 - 23:00, Monday to Friday (5 Days/8 Hours)

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Equipment: 3 scanners (2 GE, 1 3T Siemens Trauma Level 1 Hospital Adult ER, Peds ER)

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
  2. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
  3. Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media, produce transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
  4. Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
  5. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, including correct image quality, lead markers, and patient data/history.
  6. Ensure equipment is functioning properly; report potential problems or malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  7. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, and film storage areas.
