Job summary

MillenniumSoft MRI Tech is seeking an MRI Technician for a 90-day on-site assignment in Waterbury, CT. The role supports a 40-hour work week with a 07:00-15:00 schedule (Tuesday to Saturday). The pay rate is $67.48 per hour, with a 90-day duration and a guaranteed 40-hour starting period.

The candidate will prepare and position patients, set imaging parameters, conduct pre-screening and education, transfer images to PACS, and maintain radiation safety and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2 Years (as implied by role requirements)
• MRI Technologist proficiency in imaging workflow
• Ability to position patients for cross-sectional imaging
• Knowledge of radiation safety procedures and guidelines
• Comfort with PACS image handling and quality checks
• Ability to maintain department cleanliness and organization

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
