Job summary

Trinity Health in Muskegon, MI is seeking an experienced MRI Technician to join the Radiology department. You will position patients, select anatomical and technical parameters, and acquire cross‑sectional images with high quality and safety protocols.

Responsibilities include patient pre‑screening, scheduling, data entry, image transfer to PACS, and maintaining equipment. At least 2 years independent scanning experience is required; shift is 16:00–12:30, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in MRI scanning.
• Independent scanning experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and set anatomical and technical parameters to produce cross‑sectional MRI images.
• Perform patient pre‑screening, scheduling and education related to the examination.
• Enter patient data, transfer images to PACS, and develop/ archive images.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure high‑quality images and correct patient data/history are submitted to PACS.
• Maintain equipment and report malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
• Keep department spaces clean and organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enter and monitor patient data, transfer images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develop film in an automatic processor.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).
• Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction toappropriate personnel.
• Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.
