Job summary

UT Health East Texas in Tyler, TX is seeking a weekend shift, full-time MRI Tech to support diagnostic imaging and patient care. You will perform MRI procedures under the supervision of the Imaging Department Director and collaborate with radiologists to aid diagnosis.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an AMA school of radiologic technology, BLS certification within 14 days of hire, and ARRT MRI registry within 18 months.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an AMA school of radiologic technology.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Achieve ARRT registry in MRI within 18 months of hire.
• Knowledge and ability to operate all equipment and perform all MRI procedures as normally required in these areas.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures in order to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Functions under the direction of the Imaging Department Director (or designee), the MRI supervisor and in cooperation with the radiologists.
• Position is subject to overtime and call back as required by the hospital.
